Case in point - I've been writing like a madman, building my copywriting and online marketing business for weeks on end. I haven't really taken a day off since I started. It's been wearing on me a little, and it's driving the wife nuts. I'm sure the kid is annoyed with me sitting on the computer for 12 hours, taking minimal breaks for playtime and house duties.
I mad a vow when I started that Sabbath was a no work zone, obviously (friday sundown to saturday sundown... no im not jewish, but I'll gladly explain if you're curious) and then I deemed that Sunday would be my family day. I've yet to do that, until today.
Funnily enough (yes, funnily is a word, it's also proper grammar, so nyah!) the day I deem to take the day off working on my business, I end up turning my attention to house duties I've been meaning to get to. It's not even 11am yet and I've already got laundry going, cupboards re-organized, I transcribed all my lose-paper recipes onto my recipe index cards and organized all my recipes and I've planned out dinner this evening. Not to mention we just started potty-training with Emma this weekend.
OOOOOooooh that's a whole separate post all together. Let me just say that she's doing well, the outlook is optimistic, and I'll be happy when this ordeal is over. I have, however, made a promise to myself to spend a portion of today playing the new Mario game for the Wii. We beat the game last night only to discover a world 9. sweeeeeeeeet

You thought self-employment was easy? Noooo ... it's gratifying, but NOT easy. Just try not to give up like I did.
Dad
Freelancing, it's a tough life. That's why I married well up the food chain.
Good luck and that's for having me on your blogroll, Derek.
Thanks for stopping by! I love reading your posts as well, unfortunately I'm so busy I just can't get to commenting on everything I read. I think I'm subscribed to something like 150 different blogs through networked blogger... I really need to cutback.
